South Dakota Community Foundation Awards $20,000 Grant to Beacon Center

South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) has awarded a $20,000 South Dakota Fund grant to Beacon Center due to cuts in federal funding. Funding will help ensure Beacon Center is able to maintain adequate staffing for their 24/7 crisis line, as well as purchase supplies for their 32-bed shelter.

South Dakota Community Foundation recently awarded a $8,930 South Dakota Fund grant to Friends of the Museum W.H. Over Museum. Funding will be used to assist in re-establishing their children’s education program that will foster education, cultural appreciation, and engagement for youth of all ages in Vermillion and surrounding communities.
