Deep faith, a love for learning and a strong belief in serving others are the driving forces behind the generosity of John and Jill Mills. Natives of the Brookings area, they are dedicated to supporting the educational efforts of Peace Lutheran Church. John’s love for his family and ministry has helped shape his desire to give in this way.
The Mills see their gift as not only an investment in the church’s educational programs, but in the future of Brookings and beyond. They understand that, like a building, life must have a stong foundation.
“It’s about building a foundation for life,” he explained, “for decision-making, for leadership, for serving others.”
Through their giving, the Mills hope to inspire others to consider leaving a philanthropic legacy, one that future generations can build upon when they feel called to make a difference.
