The South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) recently awarded a $20,000 South Dakota Fund grant to Clark Community Aquatic Center. Funding will help support the construction of a new, modern swimming pool.

"Because of the incredible support of the South Dakota Community Foundation, we’re one step closer to bringing our new aquatic center to life,” said Cassi Kottke, Clark County Aquatic Center committee member. “We’re so grateful for your generosity and you commitment to our community.”

In August 2024, Clark Community Aquatic Center committee was formed to find a solution to the increasing maintenance and repair costs the city has been experiencing with the current pool. Through careful research and discussions, the committee determined the need for a new, state-of-the-art swimming pool for Clark and the surrounding communities. The new pool will continue to be a cornerstone of community engagement featuring updated safety features, energy-efficient equipment, and a more accessible design enhancing the overall experience for residents and will ensure its longevity for future generations.

“We are proud to partner with Clark Community Aquatic Center to enrich the quality of life for families in the Clark area,” says Ginger Niemann, SDCF Senior Program Officer.
