SDCF Board of Directors Approves Grants up to $50,000 to Address Gaps through the South Dakota Fund Grant Program

SDCF Board of Directors has announced availability of funding for nonprofit organizations at risk of losing federal support. Grants up to $50,000 will be made available through the South Dakota Fund grant program to help stabilize organizations affected by reductions or the withdrawal of federal funding.

During a recent board meeting, SDCF Board unanimously approved the immediate prioritization of funds to help sustain essential services that may otherwise be disrupted. The response is intended to provide support to nonprofits as they navigate the financial uncertainty created by changes in federal funding streams.

“Nonprofits are the backbone of our communities, and many are facing unexpected challenges due to the federal priorities,” said SDCF Stephanie Judson, President & CEO. “By offering this targeted support, we’re helping ensure these vital organizations can continue to serve South Dakotans when they are needed most.”

Eligible nonprofits are encouraged to apply through the South Dakota Fund grant program. Applicants must clearly demonstrate how the loss of federal funding is impacting their organization and outline how grant support will enable them to maintain operations. Priority will be given to SDCF partners and those serving vulnerable populations or providing essential community services.

Grant applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. South Dakota Fund grant requests to core focus areas continue up to $20,000.
