Finalist: Helpline Center Inc. | South Dakota Community Foundation

Bush Prize: South Dakota 2025 Winners Announced!

Helpline Center Inc was founded in 1974 by a dedicated social worker who saw that the community had so many resources, but few people knew of them. The solution was to create a phone line for people to call to help find the resources needed. Over time, Helpline Center evolved to become a state-wide agency that now provides services for 211 Helpline and 988 Lifeline. Helpline Center also offers suicide prevention and aftercare support, a Network of Care, and Volunteer Connections. Helpline is making a difference by giving support, offering hope, and creating connections all day, every day for all South Dakotans.
