Highmore Area Foundation Recovery Efforts Fund
On Monday, June 29, 2026, our community was struck by a devastating storm with winds exceeding 130 miles per hour, leaving widespread damage across the area. In response, the Highmore Area Foundation has established the Highmore Area Foundation Recovery Efforts Fund to receive and direct charitable dollars toward local recovery.
Donations to the fund will be administered and receipted through our partner, South Dakota Community Foundation, ensuring full accountability and tax-deductible giving. Highmore Area Foundation council will guide distribution decisions, directing funds to local nonprofits doing the hands-on work of recovery to happen over the days ahead.
