Langford Community Foundation Event
An appreciation dinner was held in November for residents of the communities of Langford, Pierpont and Claremont to say "Thanks for Giving" to the local community foundation. Celebrity chefs provided appetizers, drinks and dessert while eight student foundation volunteers served a great roast pork dinner.

Current Langford Area Community Foundation President Scott Amundson provided an overview of the great things happening because of foundation donors. South Dakota Community Foundation CSA Coordinator Buddy Seiner presented on the future of the local foundation and how donors can help it grow. Of course, a very large part of the evening was spent extending gratitude to all of the donors and community residents in attendance.

Supporting Children’s Home Society’s New Christmas Book
The South Dakota Community Foundation presents the Children’s Home Society of South Dakota with a grant check to support their new book, Return to the Farm – A Christmas Journey. Representatives from the communities of Martin/LaCreek District Pine Ridge Reservation, Miller, Faulkton, and Wagner accepted the check for the "Home Address" pilot project.
